Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010: Two Big Boxes!

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010: (Sandra) A warm, nearly summer day for packing two large boxes with all our 'stuff' to be sent to our home in Manitoba took up a majority of the morning. Tante Karin introduced her amazing poppyseed/almond loaf to us by baking a loaf with Karannina. The afternoon was filled with traveling to an Open Air Museum with Tante Karin. The highlights for me were the brushes shop - every brush imaginable to clean any sized bottle to brushing crumbs off a table. Within this same shop we saw a demonstration tree piece with all the brush bristle types drilled into it - different colours and thicknesses.

The camera museum contained cameras from the last 100 years, including the claymation of King Kong.

The technology museum included 'funk' paraphernalia - here's to you folks, Cal, Joan, Michael and Erin!

The evening meal began with a slice of the poppy seed loaf which was dressed with melted white chocolate. (Great when dessert comes first!) This was followed with brotchen, cheese, ham, olives, cucumber, pepper tomato. Karannina had a case of delightful giggles during this meal.
