Tuesday, May 11, 2010 Tramelan Switzerland to Negrav Italy

Tuesday, May 11, 2010 (Alexander). Right after breakfast we head to Negrav, Italy. On the way, I count 83 tunnels. The longest one was 16kms. We drive through the Swiss Alps. These Alps look like hibernating monsters covered in snow. Some of the houses are on the top of the mountains. We stop in Italian part of Switzerland and send our first two boxes of "stuff" back home, because we have run out of room in our car. It cost us about 90 Euros to send these. Once we crossed into Italy, we see many waterfalls, some going right over top of us (we drive under the watersheds which allow the water to run over top of us without getting us wet). We finally arrive at 9:00pm, tired, exhausted, stinky, and hungry. As we open the car doors we are surprised by the weather. It was very warm and we smelled Jasmine flowers. Our car smells like a can old farts and stinky cheese. We are happy to get into a clean bed and sleeeeeeeeeeppppppppppppppp.
