January 28, 2010: A Tourist Break For Us While Dad Worked

Thursday, January 28, 2010 (Karannina): Another breakfast of toast and porridge. We had a day at LMC instead of going to a museum. This day gave our bodies a break from all the stimulation of museums and ‘the tube’. During that time we worked on our blog and journals and played the games Dutch Blitz and Jenga. When I had free time, I checked out my NaturePlus card online from the Natural Museum. If you go to http://www.nhm.ac.uk/natureplus/index.jspa, check out the games, webcams, and animal/insect information. Children aged 5-15 would enjoy the games. Try them out! To get some fresh air we went for a walk and discovered a neat shop full of specialty foods. We enjoyed a late supper of chicken and spuds while we watched, Robin Hood – Men in Tights (a ‘spoof’ on the classic). A highlight of the day was playing Dutch Blitz – two people playing with four decks.
