January 19, 2010: Shopping and Westminster Walk

(Sandra) What an awesome city London is! The population of people is difficult for my mind to comprehend - and this is the low season of tourists! Alexander placed the 'I love you mom' mug at my place for breakfast - what a great way to start the day! Dieter spent time with Ivident today, as he will for most of the week days. The three of us used the GPS to find the closest grocery store, a one kilometre 'up and down' walk. We walked away with 40 GBP of groceries. Along the walk we discovered an unique bush of white, squishable 'blobs'. These white items would go back to their original shape after being squashed - very special! We used the metro to get downtown and did the Westminster Walk. We saw Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, and waved at the statue of Winston Churchill. We noticed that the MacDonald's here has no colour red in its decor. We bought tickets for the theatre, Les Mes at a tourist information office. We also saw the changing of the horse guard. Overall, a full 'London day'. No time to blog.
