Saturday, June 12, 2010: Get the Best Seat...

Some local 'fusion' music - drums, cow bells, bagpipes (under the canopy) and vocals.
Michela and Sharyn hiding from the sunshine - apparently rare for Edinburgh.
At the Leith Gala, watching the 'fusion' music - soaking up the wonderful sunshine.
Great ball fun!!
Remember the camp song, 'Great Green Gobs of Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts'? Perhaps this was the place where this tune began. I wonder what they sell here?
The sleeping person is being moved?
The trash at the gala park. Notice the beer bottle amongst the pop cans.
Interesting buckle, spur boots.

Exactly how can one uplift a car?

Saturday, June 12, 2010 (Sandra): Dieter's crepes began our day wonderfully again. We then walked - no delightfully meandered - to the Leith Gala festival. We enjoyed some local 'fusion' music talent in the sunshine which is very rare for Edinburgh. We ate some festival food - chips and cheese - a local Edinburgh specialty. If we were to eat this food on a regular basis we would have a life expectancy of the local people here - approximately 55 years of age. This is rather shocking considering. The evening involved some great football (soccer) watching at our apartment along with snack eating. We live across from a pub and can hear thick Scottish accents and see the behavior of inebriated people - interesting for Alexander and Karannina since they have sat next to the window just to 'watch'!
