(Alexander) After breakfast, we go outside and clean up the yard for Onkel Manfred’s birthday. The night before we had a big storm. In some places in Germany, big trees were whipped down the wind. We fixed the lawn sweeping machine, we swept the concrete block walkways, I cleaned the pond where the salamanders live, cleaned the bird bath and filled it with clean water. Onkel Manfred takes care of the composite and Dad enjoys his new office and gets lots of work done on some sort of a grant thingy and conference presentations. We enjoyed tea-time outside and went in just before the thunderstorm happened. Perfect timing.
